- A good time to aerate lawns to assist oxygen increase, decompaction, surface water penetration and promote root depth. Forking for small areas or hire an expert with professional machinery.
- Pick dry days to rake in worm castings, remove decaying leaves and organic matter.
- Start to remove any dead plant material, leaves and fallen twigs and branches.
- Apply roughly 1 inch of well-matured and nutrient rich garden mulch. Sometimes referred to as soil supplement.
