LAWN CARE & GARDEN TIPS IN MAY
- Alternate cutting directions to promote upright growth and avoid rutting and flattening from wheels or rollers. Mowing height can be dropped, set 25mm as the benchmark height.
- Keep lawn edges clipped to compliment the lawn and planted borders.
- Irrigate lawns and plants during dry spells – a.m. or p.m. Lawns: 1-2 soaks weekly rather than a little each day. Bulbs, herbaceous and bedding plants: every 2-3 days. Shrubs – weekly.
- If temperatures are good and soil is moist, apply a selective weedkiller to the lawn.
- Keep on top of weeding beds!!
